Our Mission
The mission of The Diabetes Insipidus Foundation, Inc.
is improved treatment, and ultimately the prevention and cure of all forms of
diabetes insipidus through research.
We will promote a greater public awareness and
understanding of the disease and will serve patients and their families with
informational material and through the quarterly publication of Endless
Water.
We will promote Diabetes Insipidus as "A
DiFferent Diabetes" so that people will know
that there is another diabetes.
Foundation Profile
The Diabetes Insipidus Foundation, Inc. was founded by Joe and Marian Arminger on June
28, 1996 because their son has Neurogenic Diabetes Insipidus. It is a 501(c)3
non-profit foundation.
The Founding Board of Directors consisted of Marian
Arminger, Dr. Heinz Valtin and Dr.
Tatyana Korontsvit. Dr. Valtin is a retired Professor at Dartmouth Medical School
and is an expert on DI. Dr. Korontsvit has a nephew who has Nephrogenic DI.

 | Roberta Diaz Brinton, Ph.D.,
a neuroscientist from University of Southern California, Los Angeles with special
knowledge on vasopressin effects on learning and memory. |
 | Arnold Moses, M.D.,
an endocrinologist from SUNY in Syracuse, New York. |
 | Gary Wand, M.D.,
an endocrinologist from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. |
The Diabetes Insipidus Foundation, Inc. provides information, advocacy
and referrals for patients, families and professionals who are interested in Diabetes
Insipidus.
